Maat 3 is the next successor to the Maat series for competitive flying. Maat 3 uses Zone V2 series profiles allowing a large range of speeds. The fuselage is a horizontal oval so that it bends less when pitching sideways. It has small surfaces for the rudder so that the SOP does not spin during a bad landing and at the same time it cannot be glued crookedly. The fuselage has round pins around the wing nuts, on which the wing is attached. The pins hold all the weight sideways during pitching. The cabin must be on the bottom because the aircraft is mid-wing and the rods must lead to the tails under the wings. The entire fuselage has a small cross-section, so the choice of usable servos for the tails is small. KST X06 servos can be used. The fuselage weight with the required strength is from 30 g.
The wing and tail surfaces are made of biaxial carbon with a Rohaccell core. All forms are duralumin, guaranteeing absolutely precise shapes. The molds are heated to a temperature of 80 °C, which achieves perfect smoothness without an "orange surface".
A suitable receiver is the Jeti R5 L and a LiPol 1S 550mAh HV battery.
The model weights are divided according to the weather conditions for which the model is intended:
- Light 220 g (up to 3 m/s wind)
- Regular 240 g (up to 6 m/s wind)
- Heavy 260 – 330 g
